The WWDC 2019 conference will begin a week later, on June 3, and today there is another reason to discuss its program. According to rumors, the main event of Apple will be devoted not only to program announcements, but also to novelties in the category of gadgets. So, we need to show a new generation of modular Mac Pro, as well as Apple's proprietary monitor for professionals - let's talk about it.
According to 9to5Mac, a monitor with a diagonal of 31.6 inches will receive a matrix with support for DCI-P3 color space (probably 100% coverage), HDR, automatic brightness adjustment, Night Shift function and True Tone technology, which adjusts the color temperature of the screen depending on the lighting.
This new product will also get a unique integration with Apple computers. Mac users will be able to fine-tune the display settings to fit their requirements, and then save these settings as a preset that can be exported to other devices. The settings include the minimum and maximum brightness, color space settings, white point, Night Shift activation, and others.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the monitor will be called Apple Display and will receive a matrix of 6240 × 2880 pixels using the Mini-LED technology. It will connect to Apple devices via Thunderbolt 3.
