AMD Introduces New Ryzen 3000 series Processors and Radeon RX5000 Graphics Cards


Today at Computex 2019, AMD introduced the new 7-nm Ryzen (Matisse) processors. The model range includes five new models, which will go on sale on July 7. The company also announced a new series of video cards Radeon RX5000. 

The Ryzen 3000 processors are based on the new Zen 2 micro-architecture. AMD reports that the performance gain on the so-called (IPC) is 15% compared to the Zen +. Among the advantages, the company noted an increase in the third level cache. 



One of the most interesting features of the new processors will be their pricing. It seems that AMD is seriously going to crush its rival with aggressive pricing.

The most interesting novelty in the Ryzen 3000 model lineup was the Ryzen 9 3900X processor, the company plans to counter this chip with the Intel Core i9 series. Ryzen 9 3900X is the first chip on the mass market with 12 cores and 24 threads, and its cache size is 70 megabytes. 

AMD Radeon RX5000 Series Video Cards on the Navi Platform



Despite the presentation of breakthrough technologies in AMD processors, the announcement of a new series of video cards of the company deserves special attention. As expected, the Radeon RX5000 series is based on the 7-nm Navi architecture and uses the new DNA game engine.



The RX5700 will be the first video card in the new series, which supports fourth-generation PCIe, it is designed to compete with the Nvidia RTX 2070. According to tests, the results of the AMD video card are 10% higher compared to the competition. It should be noted that the majority of artificial tests are carried out in ideal conditions, despite this the RX5700 is a promising novelty. 

The Radeon RX5700 will go on sale in July. The exact date, as well as the price of the new product is not yet known. AMD promised to reveal all the details at the E3 2019 event.
