Tesla locks functions in entry-level Model 3

Electric Tesla entry-level Model 3 has been available for order for some time, and now only in limited mode. The first buyers were lucky and they, if you can say so, got their electric car in the configuration “Standart Range Plus”. Unfortunately for them, the bounty attraction is over.

Tesla starts selling electric vehicles in the configuration "Standart Range" with locked functions. One of the buyers said that he had received his new Model 3 without autopilot, without navigation, fog lights, with limited seat heating and its maximum distance is limited to 220 miles. It is unclear whether Tesla will block functions on cars already sold. The site Engadget appealed to the representatives of the company for comments, but they have not yet received a response.

Possible blocking of functions in models of standard configuration can push buyers to the paid Plus upgrade, which they have already got used to. It is worth noting that changing the configuration by software is a rather interesting feature of Tesla, which is inaccessible to most automakers whose cars remain unchanged after they left the factory.
